Gluten Free Ploughman’s Sandwich

Inspired by the classic British pub lunch, this Ploughman’s Sandwich is hearty, tangy, and full of contrasting textures. With sharp vintage cheddar, sweet-tart apple, savoury ham, and a punchy pickle, all tucked between slices of Well and Good Buckwheat & Chia Bread, it’s a rustic, satisfying bite that’s perfect for a leisurely lunch or picnic.

Buckwheat Chia Ploughmans Square Product Pack

Makes: 1 sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Well and Good Buckwheat & Chia Bread
  • Butter
  • 1 tbsp pickle or chutney
  • 2 leaves lettuce
  • 2 slices vintage cheddar
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 slices thick cut ham
  • ¼ apple, thinly sliced into wedges

Assembly

  1. Butter both bread slices.
  2. Spread pickle or chutney on one slice.
  3. Layer lettuce, cheddar, tomato, and ham, and apple slices.
  4. Top with second slice and gently press.
  5. Slice and serve with white pickled onions and chips.
