Ingredients

Method

  1. Pre-heat oil to 180°C.
  2. Whisk together the plain flour and the beer. When it is smooth check that it is a coating consistency with the back of a spoon. If it is too thick add a little more beer or water. If it is too thin add a little more flour.
  3. Dust in plain flour and then dip into the batter. Place straight into the oil and cook until golden brown.
  4. Place onto kitchen paper to drain. Lightly salt.
