Low Carb Pizza Base Recipe

Make your own gluten free, low carb pizza base then add your favourite pizza toppings for fresh pizza.

Ingredients

  • 300g Seriously Low Carb Self Raising Flour Mix
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 Tbl water – tempered (approx. 32°C (89°F)
  • 1 tbl olive oil
  • 14g yeast
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp tempered water (approx. 32°C)

Method 

  1. Pre heat oven to 200°C fan-forced (392°F) 
  2. In a large bowl combine the eggs, yeast, water and olive oil.
  3. Add the flour and salt and continue mixing by hand until dough is formed. Dust the bench and lightly kneed for 1 minute.
  4. Portion dough into 12 balls. And roll out to 1 cm thickness. Add your pizza toppingsand allow to rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Cook for 11 minutes. 

Handy tips: 

  • You may notice the dough is stickier and harder to work with than regular flour. To help with this, we suggest rolling out the dough between two pieces of baking paper.
  • For par baked pizza base; bake at 200°C for 5 minutes. You can freeze or refrigerate for later. For regular pizza, add topping after rolling; Bake at 200°C for 9 to 12 minutes.
