Gluten Free Pizza Base Recipe

Bring the pizzeria home with our Gluten Free Pizza Mix – the perfect base for deliciously crisp, chewy pizza every time. Specially crafted for a gluten free diet, it’s easy to prepare and versatile enough for all your favourite toppings. Whether you’re making a classic Margherita, a loaded veggie feast, or experimenting with creative flavour combos, this mix delivers the authentic taste and texture you crave – without the gluten.

  • Makes: 6 small pizzas
  • Proofing time: 25–30 minutes
  • Baking time: 12–15 minutes
  • Oven temperature: 220°C (fan-forced)

Ingredients

  • Well and Good Pizza Flour Mix
  • 1½ cups (375ml) water
  • 1/3 cup oil of your choice
  • 7g yeast (not included in box)

Instructions

  1. Mix the dough: Add the pizza flour, water, oil, and yeast to a stand mixer bowl. Using a dough hook, mix on medium speed for 3 minutes until smooth and well combined.
  2. Shape the dough: Turn dough onto a clean bench and knead lightly. Divide into six equal portions. Lightly oil or spray each piece, place on a tray, and cover with a damp tea towel.
  3. Proof: Allow to proof for 25–30 minutes. Preheat oven to 220°C (fan-forced).
  4. Roll out bases: If sticky, dust lightly with rice flour. Roll each portion into a pizza shape and place on a lined baking tray or pizza stone.
  5. Top and bake: Add your favourite toppings. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until crust is golden and toppings are cooked.
