Gluten Free Apple Chai Muffin Recipe

We teamed up with Tea Tonic to make delicious Gluten Free Apple Chai Muffins. These gluten free baked treats combine the Well and Good Crumble Cake with an aromatic blend of Tea Tonic’s Chai Traditional Tea and Apple Tree Tea.

Enjoy the subtle taste of warming spices in a moist, tender muffin with a crumbly top. These muffins are a comforting treat for chilly mornings or an elegant addition to afternoon tea.

This recipe is gluten, nut, and dairy free.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Combine boiling water, Tea tonic Apple Tree Tea and Tea tonic Traditional Chai Tea. Steep for 5 minutes then remove the tea bags and leave the infused water to cool to room temperature.
  2. Preheat your oven to 195°C (180°C fan-forced). Grease or line (patty pans) a 12-cup muffin tin.
  3. In a large bowl combine crumble cake mix, eggs, infused water with apple and oil. Stir with a wooden spoon or an electric hand mixer on low until all ingredients are incorporated. Pour batter into prepared baking tin.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, remove from the baking tray and allow to cool on a wire rack.

Quick tip: Add a cup of your favourite chopped fruit for extra deliciousness.
