A very simple gluten free custard recipe using the Well and Good custard powder. You can make instant custard that doesn’t even need to be cooked. Just add water, butter or margarine, and your preferred milk.
What you need for this gluten free custard recipe
- 1 sachet (125g) Gluten Free Custard Powder
- 250ml water
- 250ml milk (or your choice of milk substitute)
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl with an electric mixer for 20 – 30 seconds on high speed
- Allow to set.
Tips: For a thicker or thinner consistency increase or reduce liquid.
For warm custard heat up in the microwave or in a pot.
2 heaped tablespoons and 1 cup milk or water makes 1 cup of pouring custard.
Add a dash of brandy for a perfect accompaniment to your Christmas pudding.
